This “chronicle” covers what I believe to be the most important legislative changes in the protection of authors’ rights and related rights to have taken place in Spain from March 2002 to 31 December 2007. The review of these changes in the following pages supplements my earlier report, published in the October 2006 issue (no. 210) of RIDA on the implementation in Spanish law of Directive 2001/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 May 2001 on the harmonisation of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society (hereinafter “Directive 2001/29”).
