This review of developments in Africa covers the period from April 2009 to March 2012. In this period, the text of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) on folklore and traditional knowledge stands out at the regional level. As far as individual States are concerned, reference will be made to the laws of the Central African Republic, Ghana, Mali, Rwanda, Tunisia, Zambia and Cameroon. In addition, it should be noted that 2012 is the year of the fiftieth anniversary of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI)2.
