This News from Greece presents an overview of the current Greek copyright legislation, as amended by Law 4481/2017 which was intended not only to implement Directive 2014/26 but also to establish – in terms that are not very felicitous – a comprehensive and autonomous collective management framework to supplement Law 2121/1993 (Part 1). Then, turning to recent case law, it reports on the decisions of particular interest, some of which concern classic subjects while others address issues related to new technology (Part 2).
