Between 1 August 2016 and 31 December 2018, there were a number significant developments in African copyright law.2 Major texts were adopted at both supranational level and in individual states (I). Case law, increasingly accessible and abundant, looked at various, sometimes recurring questions. The selection offered below relates to cases concerning a multitude of topics: originality of architectural works, remit and powers of collective management organisations, proof of ownership, confrontation between copyright law and other fundamental rights and freedoms, online sale of phonograms, conflicts of jurisdiction, scope of copyright registration, etc. (II).
